2021-07-19

According to the latest FCC certification documents, audio hardware specialist Bose is developing a new noise-canceling headset in the QuietComfort family. The headset is the successor to the QuietComfort 35, which was released five years ago, according to the certification document pictures.

With the QuietComfort 25 and QuietComfort 35 headphones, Bose successfully entered the ANC noise-canceling headset space. The US company has made the best active noise-cancelling headphones for a long time and can be seen wearing them in airports and train stations.

Following the launch of the Bose QuietComfort 35 in 2016, the manufacturer continues to update its ANC portfolio with the QuietComfort 35 II and Noise Canceling Headphone 700, but these are only minor updates, or aimed at a completely different target group. With QuietComfort 45, the company can return to its roots. The technical figures are not yet available in official FCC filings.

The case of the Bose QuietComfort 45 (QC 45) is very similar to that of previous generations, with a foldout design and earmuffs made of faux leather. From the appearance of it, it looks like there's only a USB-C connection and a white or ivory variant. So the most important innovations are expected to take place under the hood of the wireless headset.
